ANGELA BEERY
FOUNDER/CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Angela, the Founder and Creative Director of BElevé Dance Company, is a cherished force in the dance industry with a career that spans over three decades. Her journey began at the age of three and since then, her love for dance has grown exponentially, shaping her life’s mission and purpose.
As a seasoned dancer, Angela has honed her skills in a variety of styles including Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Musical Theatre. She was an original company member of the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company and her performance as Clara in the 1985 Nutcracker remains one of her fondest memories.
After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education and Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln she remained a part of their dance faculty.
Angela has passionately devoted her life to dance, first as a performer and now as a teacher, choreographer, and mentor, guiding dancers on their own artistic journeys. The joy she takes in seeing her students dance with pride at annual recitals and succeed on the competitive stage is a testament to her commitment to nurturing their talents. Angela’s expansive choreographic body of work has been celebrated and recognized in the industry, earning numerous awards and top overall placements, both regionally and nationally.
Beyond her dance career, Angela is a proud mother to three wonderful children, Jack, Hudson, and Paxton. With their family’s deep-rooted love for dance, they’ve created lifelong memories together. Angela takes immense pride in watching her children continue her legacy in the dance industry as performers, instructors, and choreographers.
Today, Angela is proud to lead BElevé Dance Company, where her lifelong passion for dance thrives. Here, she instills her years of experience, knowledge, and love for the art form into each dancer, providing them with the tools they need to succeed and become the best they can be. She continues to shape the dance industry, one dancer at a time.

HUDSON BEERY
INSTRUCTOR
Hudson Beery is an accomplished dancer, award-winning choreographer, and passionate educator whose extensive training and extraordinary experiences have shaped her into a dynamic artist, teacher, and mentor.
Having grown up immersed in the world of dance, Hudson has dedicated her life to studying, celebrating, and sharing the art form she loves. She has trained extensively in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theatre, developing exceptional artistry and versatility across a broad range of styles. Throughout her competitive career, Hudson earned outstanding recognition at both the regional and national levels, including top overall placements, distinguished performance awards, scholarships, and numerous national honors and titles.
Hudson’s success as a competitive dancer opened the door to remarkable opportunities within the convention and professional dance world. She was honored as an NRG Prodigy and NRG National ElectroTap titleholder, selected as a Revel Pro Reveler, and served as an Adrenaline and Revive ACE for two consecutive years. Hudson was also selected for a professional position with NRG Dance Convention as an NRG Apprentice, traveling with the convention and working alongside its renowned faculty and staff. Through these distinguished experiences, she trained, assisted, and learned from many of the dance world’s most respected educators and choreographers. She was also selected as a member of the prestigious Hands Down Tap Project, where she continued developing her artistry within an elite professional tap environment. Hudson remains deeply grateful for these experiences and for the many ways dance has enriched her life, shaped her character, and inspired her journey as an artist and educator.
Hudson loves working with her students at BElevé Dance Company, where she finds great joy in creating innovative and meaningful work while mentoring dancers of all ages. Her choreography has earned numerous top overall placements, special judges’ recognitions, performance honors, and regional and national awards. She approaches each piece with intention, striving to showcase her dancers’ individual strengths while challenging them to develop their technique, artistry, confidence, and performance quality.
Hudson is passionate about cultivating a positive and encouraging classroom in which every dancer feels valued, supported, and inspired. After receiving so much through dance, she now finds her greatest joy in giving back to her students. She treasures the opportunity to share her knowledge, experiences, and love of movement while helping young artists discover their own voices, believe in themselves, and experience all that dance can bring to their lives.
In addition to her work as an educator and choreographer, Hudson is a senior at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Dance. Her dedication, creativity, and genuine love for her students make her an invaluable part of the BElevé faculty. Hudson is incredibly grateful to call BElevé home and feels honored to continue creating, mentoring, and sharing her lifelong passion for dance with its extraordinary students.

PAXTON BEERY
INSTRUCTOR
Paxton Beery discovered his love for dance at just two years old and has devoted the past seventeen years to his training and growth as a dancer. His passion for the art form and genuine enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge have made him a valued member of the BElevé Dance Company faculty.
Paxton has trained extensively in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theater. Throughout his competitive career, he has earned numerous regional and national titles, scholarships, and top overall awards. He has received multiple prestigious honors, including Dancer of the Year at Kids Artistic Review and Rainbow National Dance Competition, along with Mr. Spotlight, Mr. Bravo, Mr. PrimeTime, Mr. Showbiz, and Mr. StarQuest titles. For four consecutive years—2023 through 2026—Paxton was honored to earn First Overall for his tap solo at the NRG National Finals.
Paxton began competing at age four and has always treasured the opportunity to perform alongside an incredible team of dancers. Over the years, he has shared in top regional and national honors through award-winning duos, trios, groups, and productions while building lasting friendships and supporting his fellow performers.
Tap dance holds a particularly special place in Paxton’s heart. For ten consecutive summers, he attended nationally recognized tap intensives, including Syncopate and the Little Rock Tap Festival. Being named the 2023 and 2025 National ElectroTap Titleholder remains one of his most meaningful honors. Through this opportunity, he traveled with NRG Dance Project, performed at events across the country, assisted faculty, and shared his love of tap with dancers nationwide. Paxton has also served as an Honored Assistant for National Dance Honors, Adrenaline, and Revive and has been represented by Clear Talent Group since 2018.
Paxton also finds great joy in the theatrical side of dance. He has portrayed leading roles in BElevé’s ballet productions, including Dimitri in Anastasia, Flynn Rider in Rapunzel, and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. As a member of BElevé’s award-winning Elite Production Team, he has brought characters such as Hercules, Gomez Addams, and Willy Wonka to life on stage.
As an instructor, Paxton combines strong technical training with positivity, encouragement, and a genuine desire to help every dancer grow. He looks forward to helping his students build confidence, discover the joy of performing, and deepen their love of dance. This fall, Paxton will attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he will major in Computer Science and minor in Dance.

PAIGE BROPHY
INSTRUCTOR AND BRAND MANAGER
Paige has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of three, training extensively in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop. As a competitive dancer, she earned numerous regional and national first-place overall awards with her solos, duos/trios, and group performances. Throughout her training, she was recognized not only for her technical ability and artistry, but also for her leadership, performing roles in ballet and competitive productions.
Among Paige’s proudest accomplishments are receiving a $60,000 scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, earning multiple dance title honors, and being selected as a finalist for the Industry Dance Awards. In 2020, she traveled across the country as a Pro-Reveler Faculty Assistant with Revel Dance Competition, working alongside leading choreographers and educators while mentoring dancers of all ages.
Following high school, Paige discovered her greatest passion wasn’t just performing, it was inspiring the next generation. She has dedicated her time to teaching and choreographing dancers while also serving as an adjudicator for dance competitions and dance team tryouts throughout Nebraska. Watching her students grow both on and off the stage remains the most rewarding part of teaching.
Outside of the studio, Paige is a marketing professional in Omaha, Nebraska. Her creative background in dance has shaped her ability to tell compelling stories, think creatively, and build meaningful connections through marketing. She brings that same creativity, professionalism, and passion into every class she teaches.
Paige is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where every dancer feels challenged, supported and inspired. She is excited to continue sharing her knowledge, experience and love of dance with young artists while helping them reach their fullest potential.

KAITLYN FRIESEN
INSTRUCTOR
Kaitlyn Friesen began dancing at the age of five. She has studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and contemporary. She was a competitive dancer for eight years where she was a part of many award-winning solos, duo/trios, groups, and productions. She also has held many leadership roles as main characters in ballet and production performances.
Kaitlyn attended Lincoln Christian High School where she was a member of the LCS Cru Dance Team and served as a captain for two years. She was recognized as an All-American and earned first place in the Kick Competition at NDA Dance Camp. Her team also competed in numerous state dance team competitions. Throughout high school, Kaitlyn served as a Teacher’s Assistant for a first grade class her junior year, and led a Bible study for middle and high school-aged girls her senior year.
Kaitlyn is attending the College of Hair Design in Lincoln, Nebraska to study cosmetology! She is so excited and honored to be able to work alongside the incredible staff and students at BElevé!

ADDISON HASENPFLUG
INSTRUCTOR
Addison Hasenpflug has been dancing since the age of one. She grew up training in ballet, ballroom, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and tap. She had the joy of being on her competition team from the age of 6, competing in many solos, duo/trios, and groups. Addison’s love and passion for dance have led her to many awards and national titles throughout her career. She loves everything about dance and what it has taught her and is excited to share that passion with others.
Addison had the opportunity of traveling with NRG Dance Project during the 2022-2023 season with the title of National Prodigy. As a National Prodigy she traveled across the US assisting classes and working backstage. Along with NRG, Addison has also been selected as a Pro Reveler Faulty Assistant for Revel Dance Convention for the 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2024 seasons where she also finished as a Top 10 National Finalist in 2022. Both of these opportunities have taught Addison the inner workings of a convention while also fueling her love for dance through assisting and meeting many of the dance world’s professionals.
Addison was also a member of the North Star Dazzlers Dance Team all four years of her high school career. She was named Co-Captain her junior year and Captain her senior year. Having a caption role has taught her many organizational skills she will continue to carry with her in her future. Along with being on the dance team at North Star, Addison was a part of National Honors Society and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2024. She was also a member of the Nebraska Human Resources Institute where she was highlighted for her leadership skills within the community.
Addison is dedicated to creating a positive, encouraging environment in which every dancer feels confident and supported while also being challenged. She loves the quality time spent at the studio with her students, creating relationships that will last a lifetime. She is committed to being a positive role model for her students and always celebrating them and their passion for dance and hopes every student leaves her class not only as a stronger dancer, but with a deeper love for the art and the confidence to watch their goals come true.
Addison is a junior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She will be continuing her academic career with a Regents Scholarship, majoring in Biology and minoring in Business. In addition to that, Addison is going into her third year as a member of the Husker Scarlets Dance Team. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue to do what she loves most in her hometown.

HUNTER LONG
INSTRUCTOR
Hunter began dancing at the age of two in Southern California. She has studied ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. Since beginning her dance journey, she has danced competitively for seven years where she has been a part of many award-winning solos, duo/trios, and group routines at the regional and national levels.
Since moving to Nebraska in 2014, Hunter has graduated from Lincoln East High School and is continuing her education at Nebraska Wesleyan University where she is majoring in Health and Fitness Studies with a minor in Psychology. She is continuing her dance career as a member of the Gold Rush Dance Team where she has been a part of the award-winning competitive team and has been a part of the American Rivers All Honors Dance Team.
Hunter has also choreographed a state-winning routine for a local high school, judged a local competition at the high school level, and instructed a week-long dance camp. Hunter is so excited to share her love and passion for dance with the incredible students and work alongside the dedicated staff at BElevé.

SARAH MATHIS
INSTRUCTOR
Sarah began her dance training when she was three years old. She has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and modern dance. Sarah was a competitive dancer for seven years where she was part of many award-winning duo/trio and group performances at the regional and national level. In high school, Sarah was a captain of the Lincoln Northeast Star Strutters Dance Team for her junior and senior years where she was recognized as an All-American Dancer for three years at NDA dance camp. Her team also competed in many state dance team competitions. Sarah has also choreographed a top three High school state dance routine.
Sarah is continuing her education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she is majoring in Human Development and Family Science, along with a minor in Dance and Psychology. Sarah is so grateful and excited to be able to work with the incredibly dedicated students and staff and to continue spreading her love for dance!

KATE NOLLEY
INSTRUCTOR
Kate has been dancing since the age of two. She trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and tap, developing a strong technical foundation and a lifelong passion for dance. Since joining her competition team at the age of eight, Kate has competed in numerous solos, duo/trios, and group routines. Throughout her dance career, she has earned many awards and scholarships and has loved every opportunity to grow as both a dancer and performer. Kate is passionate about sharing her love of dance with others and enjoys helping students build confidence and skills both in and out of the studio.
Kate was a four-year member of the Lincoln Southwest Emeralds Dance Team, where she had the opportunity to compete at UDA Nationals in Florida three times. During her time with the Emeralds, she helped the team achieve multiple state titles and earn a National Championship. Being part of such a successful and dedicated team strengthened her appreciation for teamwork, perseverance, and commitment while creating lifelong memories and friendships.
In 2025, Kate graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lincoln Southwest High School. Through dance, academics, and extracurricular involvement, she developed valuable life skills including self-confidence, discipline, motivation, time management, and leadership. She is grateful for the many lessons dance has taught her and carries those experiences into everything she does.
Kate currently attends the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she is pursuing a degree in Biological Systems Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. She is also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Kate is excited to continue sharing her passion for dance and inspiring the next generation of dancers while helping them discover the same joy, confidence, and lifelong skills that dance has given her.

HAYLEE SCHLENDER
INSTRUCTOR
Haylee Schlender has been dancing since the age of one and a half. She has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary. She has been a member of the competition team since the age of 7 and has been honored to receive many regional and national first-place awards with her small groups, large groups, and productions. She has also had the privilege of having many main character roles in ballet and production performances. Haylee is so excited to be able to continue sharing her love and passion for dance through teaching!
Haylee attended high school at Lincoln Southwest and was a member of the Emeralds Dance Team for 4 years. Where she held the leadership roles of Co-Fundraising and Co-Moral. Being on the Leadership Team has helped Haylee learn how to manage her time, enhance her communication skills, and be a well-rounded leader. She is a 4 time High Kick State Champion from 2020-2024. Haylee had the honor of attending UDA dance team nationals in Orlando, Florida where she placed 3rd in Large Varsity High Kick in 2023 and placed 15th in Large Varsity Pom, 10th in D1 Large Varsity Game Day, and 3rd in Large Varsity High Kick in 2024. Through high school, she received the awards of Honor Roll with High Distinction, Scholar Performer, Varsity Letter, and was a finalist for the 2024 Athlete of the Year Award.
Haylee will be attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the fall of 2024, where she plans to major in Elementary/Special Education and is honored to be awarded the Husker Power Scholarship.

LUCINDA (LUCY) SCHWARTZ
INSTRUCTOR & VIDEOGRAPHER
Lucy Schwartz discovered her love for dance at just two years old. She graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School, where she was a member of the Shirettes Dance Team. A versatile performer from a young age, Lucy trained extensively as a member of her studio’s competitive company and earned numerous awards and honors at dance conventions and competitions. During her junior year of high school, she received a scholarship to AMDA College of the Performing Arts at the Adrenaline Dance Convention in Denver.
Following her high school graduation in 2018, Lucy moved to Los Angeles to attend AMDA, where she trained with accomplished professionals throughout the dance and entertainment industries. She graduated in June 2021, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Theatre.
After graduation, Lucy continued pursuing professional performance opportunities. She was a three-time finalist for the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders, was selected as a member of the 2021 Chiefs Cheerleaders Training Team, and performed in the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. These professional experiences shaped Lucy into the artist and educator she is today, deepening her versatility, artistry, and understanding of the professional dance industry.
Lucy now brings her experience and creativity to several meaningful roles within the dance community. She serves as the assistant coach for the Lincoln Southeast Shirettes and as a videographer for NRG Dance Project, combining her love of dance with her passion for capturing and sharing the artistry of performers.
Lucy is passionate about encouraging the next generation of dancers. She finds the greatest joy in helping her students build confidence, develop their artistry, and grow throughout their own dance journeys.

HAILEY TAYLOR
INSTRUCTOR
Hailey Taylor began her dance training at the age of five and has studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theatre. Dance quickly became an important part of Hailey’s life, giving her not only a deep love for the art form, but also lasting friendships, treasured memories, and experiences that continue to inspire her today.
As Hailey’s dedication to dance grew, she embraced the many opportunities that came with being a devoted member of The Company at BElevé. Throughout her years as a competitive dancer, she performed in solos, duos and trios, group routines, and productions, earning numerous regional and national top awards and honors. Her talent, hard work, and commitment were also recognized through scholarships, special honors, and experiences that celebrated her growth as both a dancer and performer. Hailey treasured every part of these experiences—from the excitement of performing and competing to the friendships, teamwork, memories, and love of dance that made her years as a dancer so meaningful.
During high school, Hailey was a four-year member of the Lincoln Southeast Shirettes Dance Team and served as captain during her senior year. She was recognized as an All-American dancer during her sophomore, junior, and senior years and competed at the state level throughout all four years of high school. Hailey was also selected as a recipient of the Nebraska Young Artist Award and scholarship, recognizing her outstanding dance training, artistic talent, and leadership.
Hailey has a special joy and natural gift for working with young dancers. She connects easily with her students and brings warmth, patience, and positive energy into the classroom. She loves helping dancers build confidence, strengthen their technique, and discover the same joy in dance that has meant so much in her own life. Hailey strives to create an environment where each student feels encouraged, supported, celebrated, and excited to learn.
In addition to teaching, Hailey is continuing her education at the College of Hair Design, where she is studying cosmetology. She is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with the students at BElevé and is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the experiences, friendships, and memories that make their dance journeys at BElevé so special.

MAUREEN WHITE
ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR
Maureen oversees BElevé’s administrative operations with incredible skill and dedication. Her leadership helps keep our systems organized and our communication clear.

Kaylyn is the friendly face you’ll see in the office during evening hours, Monday through Thursday from 5:00–8:00 PM. She is here to assist with questions, scheduling needs, and day-to-day office support.
